Nevertheless, none could stay till the end, and wickets kept falling at regular intervals, leading to Australia’s victory.
The hero of the Australian bowling attack was Adam Zampa, who delivered a match-winning performance. Zampa picked up three crucial wickets for just 21 runs in his ten overs, applying immense pressure on the English batters and ultimately securing Australia’s victory. His spell was a masterclass in spin bowling, making it extremely challenging for England to build partnerships and chase down the target as they were bundled out for 252 in 48.1 overs.
