Following the recent results in the Africa Qualifier, the 20 teams for the tournament are finalised. Namibia and Uganda were the last two teams to book tickets, joining six other teams to come through regional qualifying.

How each team qualified for the T20 World Cup 2024​


The first two spots for the T20 World Cup 2024 were automatically claimed by the West Indies and the USA, serving as hosts for the tournament. Subsequently, the remaining ten positions were determined based on team performances at the 2022 edition and rankings as of the ICC T20I cutoff date on November 14.

In the T20 World Cup 2022 Super 12, the top eight teams securing berths were England, Australia, India, Pakistan, South Africa, New Zealand, Netherlands, and Sri Lanka. Bangladesh and Afghanistan, as the next best-ranked teams, completed the 12-team lineup.

The allocation of the final eight spots for the 2024 tournament unfolded through regional qualifiers. Papua New Guinea clinched their spot through the East Asia-Pacific (EAP) Qualifier. Similarly, Scotland and Ireland earned their tickets via the Europe Qualifiers.

Canada secured their place through the American Qualifier, while Nepal and Oman claimed their spots through the Asia Qualifiers. In the Africa qualifier, Namibia and Uganda emerged victorious, solidifying their positions in the T20 World Cup 2024.
