One of the longest-running men’s tennis events on the calendar, the MercedesCup returns to Stuttgart to mark the start of the grass-court swing.

Held this year during the second week of Roland Garros, the ATP 250 event will be headlined by Canadian stars Denis Shapovalov and Felix Auger-Aliassime. Home favourite Alexander Zverev, who reached back-to-back grass-court finals in Halle in 2016-2017, is still entered, but he remains alive at Roland Garros.

Hubert Hurkacz, who won his first ATP Masters 1000 title in Miami this year, will also compete, as will Aussie Alex de Minaur and former World No. 3 Marin Cilic.

Did You Know?
The first edition of the tournament in Stuttgart was held in 1898, with Mercedes-Benz assuming the role of title sponsor in 1979. There's always an added incentive for ATP Tour players to win the tournament: the champion takes home a new Mercedes-Benz.
