Five-time Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic and WTA star Coco Gauff have demonstrated their best Spider-Man impressions this week on the lawns of Wimbledon.
In Gauff’s first-round victory over Francesca Jones on Tuesday, the American stretched every muscle and covered every blade on grass, brilliantly imitating the superhero at one point to return the ball.
After this impressive display of athleticism, which excited the crowd on No. 2 court, Djokovic took it upon himself to do the same during his second-round victory against Kevin Anderson.
After his match, the World No. 1 and Gauff exchanged fun messages on Twitter, admiring each other’s agility after they posted their Spider-Man like shots on social media.
Djokovic replied to Gauff’s original post of her stretching saying: “I like your moves Coco,” with the 17-year-old responding, “haha, I learned it from the best.”
Djokovic next plays Amercian Denis Kudla in the third round as he bids to claim his third Grand Slam title of the year in London. The Serbian star may well produce similar moves in that contest, as he has a history with being compared to the Marvel character due to his flexibility on court.
