Bob Bryan, Mike Bryan and Maria Sharapova join Daniel Nestor as additions to the International Tennis Hall of Fame ballot for the Class of 2025. The four players are nominated in the Player Category, the ITHF recently announced.
The Official Voting Group, comprised of tennis journalists, historians and Hall of Famers, will cast their ballots throughout the next month. The most recent player to be inducted in the Player Category was Leander Paes, in the Class of 2024.
The Bryan brothers are the most successful men’s doubles team in history, collecting 16 major titles together and leading the PIF ATP Doubles Rankings for 438 weeks. The twins took home the gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics, defeating Michael Llodra and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the final to become just the second doubles team to complete the career Golden Slam after Mark Woodforde and Todd Woodbridge.
The lefty Bob also earned seven mixed doubles titles, while Mike captured four trophies in that category and won the 2012 London Olympics bronze medal in mixed doubles alongside Lisa Raymond. Mike won the most men’s major doubles titles in history (18). He partnered Jack Sock in 2018 to lift the trophy at Wimbledon and the US Open.

Nestor won 12 major doubles titles, including four in mixed doubles. The Canadian took home the gold medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics alongside Sebastien Lareau and won four Nitto ATP Finals, becoming the first man to win every major, ATP Masters 1000 event, the Nitto ATP Finals and an Olympic gold medal — a feat later matched by the Bryan brothers. Nestor held the top spot in the PIF ATP Doubles Rankings for more than 100 weeks and became the first player to win over 1000 career doubles matches.
Sharapova is just one of 10 women to achieve a career Grand Slam. Among her 36 singles titles, Sharapova won the WTA Finals in 2004, defeating Serena Williams in the final. Sharapova held the WTA World No. 1 ranking for 21 weeks.
Polls are now open for the sixth year of ITHF Fan Voting. Fans will be able to vote for their chosen nominee at vote.tennisfame.com until Thursday, 12 September.
To be elected to the Hall of Fame, candidates must receive an affirmative vote of at least 75 per cent or higher from the combined total of the Official Voting Group result, and any bonus percentage points earned in the Fan Vote. The top three candidates in the Fan Vote will receive added percentage points to their vote totals from the Official Voting Group, with first place earning three percentage points, second place two percentage points, and third place one percentage point.
The Class of 2025 will be announced in October, with Hall of Fame induction celebrations scheduled for August 21-23, 2025 in Newport, Rhode Island.
