India’s domination at Bengaluru​

Australian captain Matthew Wade, after winning the toss, chose to bowl first, setting the stage for an intense T20 showdown. Despite early challenges in the top order, India successfully scored 160/8 in 20 overs, thanks to thumping performances from Shreyas Iyer (54 off 37) and Axar Patel (31 off 21).

Regarding the chase, Australia’s Travis Head embarked on an aggressive start, but Mukesh Kumar intervened by dismissing his partner Josh Philippe with a well-executed short ball. Ravi Bishnoi added to the pressure by claiming Head’s wicket during the powerplay. Despite Ben McDermott‘s resilient fifty that kept Australia in the contest, a lack of support led to his dismissal by Arshdeep.

As the game reached its climax, Wade, who remained unbeaten until then, found himself with ten runs to score in the final over. Arshdeep, despite conceding 37 runs in his previous three overs, showcased remarkable composure, ultimately dismissing the left-handed batter and securing a hard-fought victory for India. The Aussies concluded their innings at 154-8 in 20 overs, as India emerged triumphant in a thrilling encounter.
